Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:Cochin to Munnar - Arrival & Transfer

Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet and assistance. Transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi - 2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, On the way, visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls; both of these are seasonal attractions, along with tea plantations. On arrival at Munnar, transfer to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr(Nilgiritragus hylocrius) - the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum . Evening have a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight at the hotel. Tickets for Eravikulam National Park are available at https://www.eravikulamnationalpark.in/landing/axRegister.php. Please note that the park will remain closed from February 1 to April 1 to ensure a safe calving season.

Day 2:Munnar - Full Day Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar.

Day 3:Munnar to Thekkady - Transfer & sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Thekkady , on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thekkady. One of the world's most fascinating wildlife reserves. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Sightseeing in Thekkady: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Spice Plantation.

Day 4:Thekkady to Alleppey - Transfer & Hotel Stay

After breakfast checkout from Hotel and drive to Alleppey, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Alleppey. An important backwater destination attracting thousands of tourists every year, who come all the way to enjoy Alleppey for what it offers. Referred to as the Venice of the East, the place is home to diverse animal and bird life. Alleppey is also famous for its beaches, marine products, coir industry and boat races. A singularity of this land is the region called Kuttanad land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Sightseeing in Alleppey: Vembanad Lake, Alleppey Beach.

Day 5:Alleppey to Kovalam - Transfer

After breakfast, check out from the houseboat/hotel and proceed to Kovalam. An overnight stay is arranged in Kovalam.

Day 6:Kovalam - Trivandrum Sightseeing

Start your day with a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, (Thiruvananthapuram) literally means 'the abode of Anantha', the snake God. The main attraction of the city is the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Vishnu (also known as Padmanabha) reclining on the snake Anantha. The imposing gopuram (gateway tower) and intricate sculptures of the temple make it a very popular tourist attraction. Later visit Napier Museum, an art and natural history museum which houses a collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Sri Chitra Art Gallery (Closed on Mondays & Wednesday forenoons) displays the original paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which houses a collection of paintings from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools. The collection also includes unique copies of Indian mural paintings from prehistoric times down to the 18th century. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 7:Kovalam to Trivandrum - Departure

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Trivandrum airport for your flight back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God's Own Country.
